Fidelity

"Fidelity," my first published short story, has just appeared in my email inbox.

That's pretty cool.

If you feel compelled, head to Daily Science Fiction's facebook page, where there's a thread for discussion of the story.

  1. Just read it. Great story, Ben. Very haunting -- short, sweet, and a kick in the gut. Congratulations on your first sale! I have a feeling we'll be seeing more. :-)

  2. Good read. I kept going back and forth as to if what the father saw was reality, or perhaps a mental illness that kept him from seeing Sophie really hadn't gone. I still wasn't entirely sure when I finished the piece.

  3. Hi, Ben! I received your story in my e-mail this morning and just wanted to stop by and say that I thought it was really good! Quite original, as well. I started to read it on my phone during a quick break at work and I was actually late going back 'cause I didn't want to stop reading it, LOL. Hope to read more from you in the future!

Congrats on your first sale!!! My first sale was with DSF as well.
